RESULT FOR 57TH FILMFARE AWARDS 2012

The annual 57th Filmfare awards held in Mumbai on Sunday was all fun, glamour and glitter with Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor at their wittiest best hosting the event. Bollywood A-listers including Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza performed at the award function. Vidya Balan bagged away the Best Actress award for ‘The Dirty Picture’ and Ranbir Kapoor received the Best Actor award for ‘Rockstar’. The list of winners for 57 Filmfare Awards 2012 is:

RANBIR KAPOOR BAGGED THE BEST ACTOR FOR "ROCKSTAR" AT ZEE CINE AWARDS, 2012

At the recently held Zee Cine Awards 2012, Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision's ROCKSTAR, won seven prestigious awards including Best Actor (Popular), Best Director, Best Lyrics, Best Singer (Male), Best Music, Best Screenplay and Best Editing.

While Ranbir Kapoor's role in the film won him Best Actor (Popular) award, Imtiaz Ali bagged the Best Director trophy. Irshad Kamil won the Best Lyricist award while Composer A. R. Rahman was awarded the Best Music Director's trophy for his chartbusting music in ROCKSTAR.

Mohit Chauhan won the Best Male Singer trophy for the song Jo Bhi Main in the musical romantic saga. Aarti Bajaj was awarded for Best Editing. The movie also won the Best Screenplay Award.

The evening was indeed an eventful one for team ROCKSTAR.

Meet Ranbir's new girlfriend Shazahn Padamsee

Ranbir Kapoor has found himself a new girlfriend -- on screen, that is. His upcoming film, Yash Raj Films' Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year, sees him opposite debutante. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT HER?? I like her!





"Shazahn Padamsee, the petite and pretty 21-year-old daughter of theatre guru Alyque Padamsee and singer Sharon Prabhakar, is the newest face to join the Bollywood bandwagon. She will make her Bollywood debut with Shimit Amin’s (of Chak De fame) Rocket Singh... opposite the young Kapoor. “Yes, I’ve signed the film and the shooting has begun,” is all Shazahn reveals at this point, keeping mum about the script, story and role. While Shazahn is not new to acting (she’s created quite a storm in the world of theatre, even producing her own play) and modelling, she’s doing all it takes to become a Bollywood star.

Ranbir Paired with Priyanka Chopra

It looks like the seemingly never-say-die friendship between director Siddharth Anand and Saif Ali Khan is for all practical purposes, over.

After their two films together Salaam Namaste and Ta Ra Rum Pum, the two had sworn to work together again... and again. But Ta Ra Rum Pum didn't do well. And Siddharth quickly got gravitated towards his childhood buddy Ranbir Kapoor for his next film Bachna Ae Haseeno.

It was widely believed that Saif would be back in Sid Anand's next which he is committed to make for producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

But the producer confirms that Ranbir is the lead in the film that Sid Anand is making for Nadiadwala.

The surprising bit of casting is the hot-and-happening Priyanka Chopra. Though neither producer nor director are willing to confirm, according to dependable sources, Priyanka who's currently shooting with Uday Chopra for Yash Raj Films Pyaar Impossible will be teamed up with Ranbir for the first time.

The actress has lately been window-shopping for the hottest male actors in Bollywood and has so far managed films with all the three Khan superstars, several projects with Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, has just completed Kaminey with Shahid Kapoor and is now on to the new generation of stars with Ranbir leading the bright pack. The pairing spree certainly gives Priyanka an edge over her rivals.

Siddharth Anand describes the Ranbir-Priyanka film as, "A rom-com which I've specialized in over the years. But this is a twisted one with a twang and all that jazz."

Bipasha, Kareena, Priyanka are Bollywood’s ‘hot’ girls

Not everyone can carry off a bikini well. In Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra are the stars who do it with panache thanks to their attitude and confidence, say fashion experts. While Kareena wore a lemon bikini for Tashan and became the talk of the town for her size zero, Priyanka slipped into a sexy golden swimsuit for Dostana.

“Kareena and Priyanka carried off their bikini act in their respective movies pretty well because they had the right attitude and confidence to carry off the two-piece with aplomb. They were sure of their bodies as well as the way they were looking on the camera,” ace photographer Dabboo Ratnani said.

According to Mumbai-based celebrity designer Gavin Miguel, Bipasha rocked the big screen when she wore a bikini in Dhoom 2. “Bipasha really took the audience by surprise with her bikini act in the movie. She looked hot, sexy and very confident. The best part about her is that she has got a well-proportioned body and so a two-piece looks good on her,” said Miguel.

‘It’ll even be nice to do a film together’: Shah Rukh

Shah Rukh Khan expressed that holding back releases from multiplexes was no ‘strike’ or ‘embargo’. “It is just a pipeline in the entire system that needs some working. We are not going to cut our nose to spite our face.

We aren’t fighting out of greed or for profit. We are fighting for equality. Our cry is ‘Fair rights for Friday nights’.

This is no show of power; the mission is just to bring about fair dialogue between the producers, distributors and exhibitors.

Every film should be treated equally,” he said. “We don’t consider the multiplex owners to be ‘mafia’. We’re passionate filmmakers who’ll continue investing time, energy and money in movies.

We are the employees of the audience and not of the multiplexes,” added SRK. Hopefully some good will emerge out of the dialogue between the forum and the exhibitors; after all it brought Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh together.

“It’s nice to sit on the podium together, it’ll be nice to sit in a car together, it’ll even be nice to do a film together,” said Shah Rukh. “We’re mature, intelligent people, I’m a little less intelligent than Aamir, but our camaraderie is really a non-issue right now. There are bigger things that need attention.”

‘We’re not splitting’: Hrithik

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has rubbished reports of his having split with wife Suzanne saying that he is having “a picnic” with her and his kids.

A leading Mumbai tabloid reported that Hrithik and Suzanne have parted ways when she had moved to her parents’ house. “It’s too funny! Yes, Suzanne shifted to her parents’ place with the kids two days ago and I was to join her on my return as there is a white ant treatment going on in my house and a section of my floor is being renovated.

I’m with Suzanne right now having a picnic with my wife, kids and in-laws,” said Roshan Junior. It was allegedly reported that that trouble began to brew in their paradise after Roshan started becoming cosy with his Kites co-star, Mexican actress Barbara Mori. But none of this is true.

Deepika Padukone: Not insecure

A lovely bouquet of flowers was recently presented to Ranbir Kapoor in front of Deepika Padukone. Interestingly, the bouquet was from a secret admirer who even proposed marriage in the greeting card that came with it.

And girlfriend Deepika, instead of getting suspicious simply laughed it off. A source said: “The duo burst out laughing as Ranbir’s secret admirer expressed her desire to marry him. It shows Deepika is not insecure, possessive or jealous.” Well, we’re sure Deepika must be getting her share of flowers, too. If not, Ranbir can send her some... After all this is one ‘budding’ romance!

Mugdha was flying high

Mugdha Godse -- the promising newcomer from Fashion seems to be highly inspired by “realistic” filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar. The actress wanted her drunk-scene from Jail to look convincing; so she actually consumed a bottle of champagne for a song sequence.

“For a song in Jail where Neil offers champagne to Mugdha, Mugdha insisted that actual champagne be poured into the glass. Madhur wanted to get the scene right and went for multiple retakes.

As a result Mugdha ended up consuming champagne sufficient enough to make her pleasantly tipsy,” we were informed. Of course the unit had reason enough to laugh their hearts out, but Mugdha was flying high and wouldn’t allow anyone to dampen her ‘spirit’.
